Every Thursday, Macaroni KID San Ramon/Danville shares our picks for five things to do with your kids in tri valley over the coming week.
Here are Macaroni KID Lauren's picks for the five things to do in the tri valley with kids this week based on fun national holidays! Click on the links for all the details!
1. National Sundae Day (July 25)
Head over to Lotties and grab a delicious sundae to celebrate!
2. National Aunt and Uncle Day and Bagelfest (July 26)
National Aunt and Uncle's Day provides an opportunity to spend time with our parents' siblings. Maybe take them for a bagel at Sunrise bagels.
3. National Milk Chocolate Day (July 28)
Enjoy your favorite milk chocolate from Danville Chocolates! Our favorite is the Mud Pie: English Toffee, Oreo, Milk Chocolate, topped with Dark Chocolate drizzle.
4. National Chicken Wing Day (July 29)
The day celebrates the little appetizer that could. Also known as buffalo wings, hot wings or just wings, each of us eats about 290 per year. Head out to your restaurant of choice and order some chicken wings. Or make them at home and explore your own sauce recipes to help you make your dipping outstanding! (Check out the article for a recipe).
5. National Mutt Day and Harry Potter's birthday (July 31)
This day encourages us to embrace, save and celebrate mixed breed dogs. Visit a shelter; if you are unable to adopt a dog, you can always volunteer.
July 31st is a very important date for the Harry Potter universe. Many fans will recognize the date as Harry's birthday, but the last day of July also stands as the anniversary for other significant events within the wizarding world.
